Akmola CyberPol detained a fraudster from Taraz, reports Polisia.kz.
As a result of operational search activities, employees of the Criminal Police Department of the Akmola region Department of Internal Affairs in the city of Taraz detained one of the defendants in the criminal group suspected of involvement in Internet fraud.
In November of the year, a resident of the Arshaly district contacted the police and reported that she had encountered an advertisement on Instagram about a profitable investment and left her phone number under the ad, using which the criminals contacted their victim.
Then, having succumbed to the tricks of criminals, the woman took loans from two different banks, borrowed money from relatives, added her own savings, as a result of which she transferred 7 million 280 thousand tenge to the fraudsters ' account. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fraud.
The investigation continues.
