Togo is preparing to open a digital security center.
The Russian company Positive Technologies may take part in the creation of a cybersecurity center in Togo. Negotiations on this issue are underway with the UN, Moctar Sack, head of the Innovation and Technology Division of the UN Economic Commission for Africa, told RIA Novosti.
Sack said on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa ministerial meeting that cooperation with Positive Technologies is currently being discussed. He also said that they are creating a cybersecurity center in Togo, and Positive Technologies will be an important partner for them in this project.
According to Sack, the opening of the center is scheduled for 2025. This center will contribute to the digital development of Africa. The UN representative also noted that Africa will need at least $100 billion to create communication infrastructure in 54 countries of the continent by 2030.
