The cybersecurity service of Sberbank has collected interesting statistics on cybercrimes, which was shared by the deputy chairman of the bank Stanislav Kuznetsov. It turned out that by the end of the year, cyber threats can cost the Russian economy more than 1.1 trillion rubles, and about 40% of cybercrimes are committed by teenagers.

Kuznetsov claims that more than a third of digital crimes were committed by schoolchildren aged 14-15. Social engineering prevails among malicious methods - over 80% of attacks are carried out using it.

According to the deputy chairman of the bank, every second attack targets the financial sector.

"The damage to the world economy may reach about $ 1.5 trillion by the end of the year," the media reported Kuznetsov's words.
“Unfortunately, so far the level of openness of those who were attacked is not very high. And according to our conclusion, only 20% of attacks become public, including due to the reluctance of companies to disclose information."
However, now the financial sector will still have to report cyber attacks to the Central Bank. Recall that the Central Bank will regulate all issues related to cybersecurity in all credit institutions.

The relevant powers, according to the acting director of the information security department Artem Sychev, the Central Bank received from the government.

Thus, the documents in the field of cybersecurity issued by the Central Bank will have to be executed by insurance, microfinance and other organizations supervised by the Central Bank.
