The Customs Service of Belarus announced the seizure of a batch of 95 hardware cryptocurrency wallets from a local resident, which he tried to illegally import into the country from Poland.

According to the customs service, a Ford car driven by a local resident was traveling from Poland through the Brest checkpoint along the green corridor, allegedly without having things to be declared.

Customs officers decided to inspect the vehicle with the help of an inspection complex. As a result, 95 crypto wallets were found hidden in the ceiling space of the car, side walls and door map of the cabin.

The driver said that some strangers in Poland asked him to transfer the devices, and he hid them so that they would not ask unnecessary questions at customs. The customs service did not specify the models of the seized devices, but said that the cost of the batch was about 44,000 Belarusian rubles (1.3 million rubles).

The wallets and the vehicle were seized, the Brest customs began an administrative process against the Belarusian - he faces a fine and possible confiscation of the car on which the crypto wallets were transported.
