However, according to Ryan Riley, the victim's 21-year-old son, the couple unwittingly fell victim to Internet scams, and no money was ever made.

According to Ryan, his father received an email from a man who claimed to be the lawyer of an unidentified "distant relative" and arranged to meet him at the airport to sign for the money.

"But the alleged lawyer never showed up. It was a scam. Unfortunately, the stranger managed to trick my father into believing that this was true.", - summed up Ryan.
