The company Diebold MobiTransact Card Lock to protect bank cards and accounts from fraudsters will provide cardholders with the ability to open or deny access to accounts through a bank or POS device.

Diebold said the new solution will allow ATMs and mobile services to be networked to provide greater account security. Diebold Mobi Transact Lock service has launched Card Lock service, which involves the use of a mobile communication channel for out-of-band authorization when using an ATM or POS device. The goal of this service from Diebold was to enable customers to send short SMS messages to monitor the current status of their debit cards. And also to close access to the card, it will be enough to send a message with the command "Lock". Another feature of the solution is that cardholders will be able to connect mobile services through an ATM. To do this, you need to do a simple operation, guided by the instructions on the terminal screen.

Diebold explains that after entering the mobile number, the customer receives a six-digit code that must be sent to the bank. To maintain a high level of security, the client needs to go through several stages of identification - by card number, mobile phone number, PIN code. Almost at the same time, the application automatically informs the client about all possible attempts to carry out transactions - a text message with a notification about a completed or rejected transaction. This function is necessary to remind customers about blocking the card, as well as to block the card in a timely manner to prevent fraudulent transactions and unauthorized access to bank accounts.

Diebold VP of Marketing John Deynan says the Card Lock app will enable customers to personally prevent fraud on their accounts.
