Do a cleaning day at your place, for example, on the last Sunday of the month. This will increase your safety.

Many obvious things can escape our attention. In order for the consequences of this to be as less disastrous as possible, or even they did not exist at all, you need to discipline yourself. On this day, an announcement is posted on the forum with a link here, which describes what and how to destroy so that your life is not exposed to the additional risk of disclosing information about you and your activities. Destroyed on this day must meet two criteria: by and large we do not need it and it can harm us if it is made public or discovered. As simple as that.

Today's list is as follows:

1) Information on the computer

- Unused passwords and account data. Remove by an unrecoverable software method.

- Bookmarks in the browser. Carefully review and identify all unnecessary.

- Browsers. Clear all history and any other data saved by sites.

- Unused contacts. View and delete unused contacts: icq, jabber, skype, other im-applications, mail programs and services.

- A bunch of gpg keys. View all bindings and delete unused, forgotten and unknown public and private keys.

- Messages. Delete unnecessary and old messages in mail programs, icq, jabber clients, skype and other messaging programs.

- The documents. View document storage folders - delete old, unused and unnecessary using an unrecoverable software method.

- Backups. View storage locations for backups and delete old ones using an unrecoverable software method.

- Downloaded. Clear local folder to download files

- Unused free disk space. Use the Ccleaner and Bleachbit programs for cleaning.

- Passwords. Decide where to change passwords.

2) Internet

- Lichka. View all visited forums and other social services and delete all private messages.

- Messages. Delete old and unnecessary messages in mail services.

3) Means of communication, mobile computers

- Contacts. Go through contacts in phones and delete unnecessary ones.

- Messages. Delete all SMS and other messages on your smartphone / tablet.

- The documents. Find and delete unnecessary and forgotten documents and books on your smartphone / tablet.

- Bookmarks in the browser. Carefully review and identify all unnecessary.

- Browsers. Clear all history and any other data saved by sites.

- Unused contacts in im applications. View and delete unused contacts: icq, jabber, skype, other im-applications, mail programs and services.

- Applications. Identify and remove old and unnecessary applications, as well as information left by them.

- Passwords. Decide where to change passwords.

4) Material

- Flash drives and other media. Check all storage media within reach and destroy (break, burn, flush down the toilet) information on them at your discretion.

- Phones, modems, Wi-Fi modules and other means of communication. Used, old, unnecessary and otherwise "exposed" means of communication should be physically broken and thrown away at least three blocks (kilometers) from their location.

- SIM cards. Reveal and destroy (break, burn, flush down the toilet) all forgotten and unused SIM cards and other access cards.

- The documents. Reveal unnecessary and forgotten documents, notes, notes, notebooks and destroy (burn better)

At least once a month, such a day will not hurt anyone!
