Employees of the anti-cybercrime units of the Gomel Region Internal Affairs Directorate and the Zheleznodorozhny District Department of Internal Affairs of the regional center detained two young people: a 23-year-old Gomel resident and a 20-year-old Russian citizen.
It was established that the Belarusian was illegally trading on a crypto exchange and using a Russian as an intermediary to cash out money. For the same purposes, the businessman also attracted other citizens.
Investigators found out that 43 bitcoins passed through his crypto wallet, which is more than 6 million rubles.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminds: in such cases, the tax authorities draw up an administrative protocol for illegal business activities against the cryptocurrency owner. He faces a large fine and confiscation of the entire amount passed through the crypto wallet.
