In the Vitebsk region, a cryptocurrency trader who provided assistance to fraudsters in withdrawing income was detained. BelTA learned this from the Interior Ministry.
The man came to the attention of operatives on countering cybercrime of the Orsha district police department. In the course of supporting criminal cases of online theft and fraud, law enforcement officers found a 30-year-old resident of the district center. It turned out that the latter, on the order of malefactors, transferred money stolen from Belarusians through his crypto wallet. The cryptocurrency exchange operator conducted such operations for six months, and its profit exceeded Br310 thousand.
