For some people, the motivation goes off scale, for others, enthusiasm disappears at the first failure, for others there are constantly “flashes” of inspiration, but just as quickly fade away ... if you really want to kindle a fire in yourself that will never go out, and will support your interest in life, it is important to avoid what kills motivation and will to win.
1. We abandon what we like
Many people know what we are interested in and capable of making us happy. But we neglect this, telling ourselves that there is not enough time and energy for these interests and hobbies. We forget to maintain passions. If you rarely do what you love, it's time to change that. If you don't have enough time, get up early and force yourself to devote some time to your hobbies, even if you are tired. You will soon feel a surge of energy and enthusiasm.
2. We find everyday activities boring
Everyone has to do something unpleasant. We may not like taking out the trash, working, cleaning the stove, but this must be done. It’s not responsibilities that cause boredom, but attitudes. If you try to think positively, you can feel enthusiasm for any business. Find a way to motivate yourself to do your daily chores.
For example, try practicing mindfulness. As you go about your business, focus on movement and regularly remind yourself of the benefits of mindfulness: improved concentration, increased calmness and confidence, and reduced stress levels.
When doing something, keep in mind what you will get. For example, you can earn money for what you wanted to buy or for the trip you dreamed of. When cleaning, imagine how clean the apartment will be when you're done. Focus on the positive and motivation will grow.
3. We listen to pessimists
People who are inclined to criticize our ideas can discourage anyone's enthusiasm. A gloomy outlook on life is "contagious", so it is best to avoid communicating with such people whenever possible. And if communication is inevitable, do not let them drag you into their "swamp" of pessimism. The rest of the time, try to surround yourself with happy and successful people, their energy and enthusiasm will be transferred.
4. We neglect health and well-being
It is difficult to maintain enthusiasm when we are exhausted all the time, eat unhealthy foods and fight with our loved one every night. Try to live a healthy lifestyle and keep yourself in good shape. To maintain optimal energy levels, regular exercise, a good diet, and at least 7 hours of sleep a day are important.
Constant relationship problems with your partner? Try to fix them, and if it doesn’t work out, think about whether it’s better to leave. Constant stress from relationships prevents you from being a healthy and happy person. Take care of yourself, and motivation will come, followed by increased self-esteem.
5. We don't do enough to be happy.
Do you think we ourselves are the smiths of our own happiness? Or should we wait until life brings it to us on a silver platter? If you agree with the first statement, then you already know that we ourselves can create for ourselves all the positive emotions we wish, including enthusiasm. Those who do not want to try for the sake of happiness, but expect gifts from fate, usually lack energy and motivation.
The happiest people are well aware that they create joy for themselves, without relying on others or on circumstances that are beyond their control. Follow their lead and you will soon feel an incredible rush of inspiration.
