2D CARDABLE SHOP uses payment processors which operates in a 2 way transaction channel only i.e. card issuer and merchant bank only. when a transaction is made, a signal is sent to card issuer, confirms validity and balance and makes payment to merchant account to complete transaction. AUTHENTICATE---->AUTHORIZE

3D CARDABLE SHOPS uses payment processors which operates in a 3 way transaction channel i.e. card issuer, payment processor and merchant bank. When a transaction is made, this time payment processor acts a escrow, it checks validity and captures the amount if there is enough funds on card then sends a signal to card issuer to approve or authorize the transaction then a signal is sent back to processor to release funds into merchant account to complete the transaction. AUTHENTICATE---->CAPTURE---->AUTHORIZE
