Hi, how long ago I told you about NLP and why it's a full hat. Nevertheless, you still leave requests to re-parse this topic. Well, in this post I will tell you about a rather similar conspiracy story, and if I get a lot of comments, I will re-chew you and NLP.

History
In 1957, there was a dude named James Vickery. Perhaps he could see the future and had already read my post tomorrow, one way or another he had a stunning idea. He conducted an experiment. The essence of the experience was to show people hidden ads for cola and popcorn during a movie show. To put it bluntly, he just inserted a few flickering shots of Buy Coke and Popcorn during the movie. And lo and behold!

Sales have indeed grown by 50%. The experiment was quickly picked up by the media and everyone thought that Vickery had discovered a way to covertly manipulate people's behavior. This experiment earned James 20 million greens, as marketers and government organizations began to pay him, believing that the eccentric opened the holy grail. As you already understood, all this is fake and complete garbage. Now let's take a closer look.

Between 24 and 26 frames
The legs of the idea grow straight out of the cinema. Once upon a time, old silent films were played at 16 frames per second, which made them constantly flicker. A little later, people realized that this was not the optimal speed for deceiving the human eye, plus it was necessary to screw on the sound. So modern color films began to be made with a frequency of 24 frames per second, and this value was optimal for a smooth and pleasant picture. Hence the name 25 frame was taken. Allegedly, in a movie with a frequency of 24 frames per second, 25 frames will be invisible. But again, 25 frames are nothing more than symbolism, since a person is able to distinguish between 26, 100, and 150 frames. Here you, for example, watch most of the content at a resolution of 30-60 FPS (fps is frames per second, if anything). And in the same CSGO you play at 150 FPS and still be able to distinguish some flickering frame. Everything is individual and depends on a person's eye, but even people with the most sensitive vision will not be able to distinguish flicker at 1000 fps. That is why, the higher the frequency of the monitor, the better and smoother the picture. More fps is more invisible to the eye.

Okay, back to our crooks. So, what was the whole conspiracy theories. Vickery argued that this most inconspicuous shot directly affects the subconscious of a person. He backed this up with testimonies from participants in the experiment, who allegedly did not notice any hidden advertising, but still began to buy more. The idea was picked up by a bunch of enthusiasts who hoped to brainwash people with their political propaganda using that very hidden frame. But after dozens of repeated experiments, something went wrong. People were not led by hidden appeals and slogans. The hidden frame did not work .. A little later, when the fees could not be collected, James himself admitted that the whole experiment was fake. But for some reason our compatriots did not hear about this, since 2006 in Russia there has been a law prohibiting the use of 25 frames and hidden advertising.
