anybody try to pass immigration at airport in asia with fake passport?

i know that when they check the passport with the tools its no chance to pass.. but at the immigration at the airport in asia i think they dont use those tools .. only if they suspicious... but my question is if its possible to pass immigration at asia airport .. or no way?

the scanner what they use for check the passport .. they just read the info of the passport? it doesnt check the passport?
