Im quite new when it comes to making plastics...I have the manual tipper but i cant seem to get a good tip and i dont understand. i have tried at 100 degrees and holding it down for a bit i get almost nothing. Tried at 150 with a quick press down..only some of the numbers get tipped. Watched a video and buddy said that you wont be good at the beginning but it seems so self explainatory so i dont understand.

Please advise

strange never had that problem with tipper something must be wrong with your heat element I used to run at 98 and it would be ok but for better results I would run it at 110 all the time.
could it be your ribbon?

i had the same problem when i was a begginer and i solved it very easy, in the right part of the tipper (assuming you are in front of it and that it is a cheap china shit) there is a part where you graduate how down the tipping base will go when you pull the lever down, most of the time it just go very down and that is why it damages the cards, this and the appropriate heat will make a good tipping, also try to only put the part of the card that needs to be tipped instead of the whole card... hope it helped...

Please note, if you want to make a deal with this user, that it is blocked.
Put the temp between 180-190* C, make sure the adjustment bolt is properly aligned. When you pull lever down you'll see the bolt that is being mentioned.
