i wouldn’t trust it too much, even them selves say not to rely on it for strong anonymity which is what we need...
what good hearted hacker will pay for gigantic broadband and high end server to make sure people he doensn't know will stay secure?

TOR is ridiculously vulnerable.
I'd only advise you to use it if you are in the lower sea level. Otherwise, I'd look into cryptocloud.com.

People should know that the only thing TOR is good for, is hiding the originating traffic. Basically, the true identity of the user transmitting data over TOR is anonymous. That is not to say that the information you transmit over TOR is anonymous. That's why you need to encrypt communications by using https to access websites and PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) and OTR (Off The Record) to communicate. You also need to make sure you don't say anything that will reveal your true identity.

TOR is a p2p network, it is not run by a "good hearted hacker with gigantic broadband and high end server"...
TOR browser is safe, it is possibly the best browser to use with tor
i dont know much about programing or hacking i am just a crook at heart but i read and teach myself all the time .. so far this tor browser is just what i was looking for .. everyone needs different level of security.. i use mobile wifi/vpn/tor browser i am learning about socks.. but honestly i feel if they get past all of that too find me i am caught anyway but i am not big fish just a guy trying to buy a good dump learn a new trick for a login and learn learn learn ways to get $ .. i do feel the forums should switch to tor based site to make everyone use some sort of security and just the fact that u cannot google search the sites on .onion make it a lil more secure if only verified ppl give it out ..like actually buyers/sellers i mean guys who spend thousands
you should always use at least 2 types of security when you do anything ie. tor + socks5 ect. better to be safe then sorry. Most times if im going to do anything serious i will just go to net cafe and throw on a socks5 just to be safe cuz you never no what can happen.

Just to inform you socks5 actually offers very little in the way of location protection if someone ( ie. Law enforcement ) is actively attempting to track you as it is more of a measure to avoid iplocation software within companies websites to fool them and bypass security,
And im wondering what you do that you can get away with using tor with no addition location protection?
A VPN (Without going into details of logless,setting up your own etc.) Is something you should consider running if you feel like you want another element of protection.
Anyway hope that cleared it up a little.

documentation about "exit nodes" should clarify my sarcasm...
Tor is the best thing that has happened to cyber criminals. Safe browser, unless you happen' to have much higher targets like bringing down cia.gov, that's a different story. But for carding, and other criminal activitys that are not that major tor is definately safe and good to use.
