"Although Visa rules do not preclude merchants from asking for cardholder ID, merchants cannot make an ID a condition of acceptance. Therefore, merchants cannot refuse to complete a purchase transaction because a cardholder refuses to provide ID. Visa believes merchants should not ask for ID as part of their regular card acceptance procedures. Laws in several states also make it illegal for merchants to write a cardholder�s personal information, such as an address or phone number, on a sales receipt."

merchent id

in most antillas they want to make fotocopy of the id which is inligal<dont let that hapend>

Yeah it is true that they aren't legally allowed to refuse a transaction because you refuse to show ID but you really only want to make a big stink about it if you REALLY have to.

Yes, I used that argument all the time but sometimes they say that it is for your own safety. I say no it is not and I do not have to show you ID. My signature is the ID! Does it match then that is my ID....It works all the time..LOL

Kaizer, good idea but if they pick up card = not good with your pic.
