What is going on with Ohio Pua unemployment?
This emergency expansion is called "Pandemic Unemployment Assistance" or PUA. This additional benefit is called "Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation" or (FPUC). Ohio has decided to end this benefit on June 26, 2021, but PUA and PEUC will continue through September 4, 2021.

Who is eligible for Pua Ohio?
Individuals not eligible for traditional unemployment benefits may be eligible for PUA. This includes those whose earnings in their previous wages averaged less than $280 per week. System programming and process mapping are currently underway to make PUA available to those in the three new groups.

You may be eligible to receive federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) benefits. The PUA program helps individuals who are not eligible for regular state UI benefits and who are unemployed, partially unemployed, unable to work, or unavailable to work as a direct result of a COVID-19 related reason.
