Fintech company Sentry Enterprises has introduced the world's first bank cards with integrated OLED panels. The firm launched the Radiance platform, which allows issuers to offer unique features, including OLED screens embedded in cards.

Konica Minolta is engaged in the production of OLED screens. In 2014, the company started construction of a factory for the production of flexible OLED panels. Since 2020, Konica Minolta has started to produce limited batches of products.

The company is looking to increase production, and Sentry has become one of its clients and partners. The card's OLED panel is powered by NFC when making a transaction — the closer the cardholder brings the card to the payment term, the brighter the screen will shine.

Konica Minolta introduced this technology in 2020:

Radiance supports Visa and Mastercard cards. Now Sentry is looking for issuing partners to launch its own branded cards. The company is confident that OLED displays will increase brand loyalty and increase the number of transactions.

It is not known whether cards with OLED panels will become popular, as many bank customers have switched to paying using a smartphone or smart watch.
