Novokuznetsk resident planned a trip to music festivals in Europe in the company of a foreign singer, but instead calculates the damage caused by scammers.

Two years ago, a 36-year-old accountant at a local business met a man who introduced himself to her as a popular foreign singer via the Internet. The correspondence was conducted in English: the woman used an Internet translator. In February of this year, "artist" offered the woman to spend a vacation in a joint trip to music festivals in Europe. Everyone paid for their own tour. Novokuznetsk resident paid 400,000 rubles, but the money was allegedly "frozen" in the payment system, then the swindler suggested that she transfer the money to the manager who organizes his music tours.

Believing in this, the citizen wrote to the coordinator and transferred more than 1 million rubles using the specified banking details. A letter with details of the upcoming trip was supposed to be sent to her by e-mail, but the victim did not receive any messages.

In anticipation of a joint trip, she continued to communicate with Zvezda, but after a while they quarreled in correspondence, the man blocked Novokuznetsk, and later his page was deleted. The woman tried to cancel the manager's already paid vacation, but no one answered her calls and emails. Only then did she realize that she was a victim of fraud, and went to the police.

Criminal investigation officers identify intruders. A criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code "Fraud", which provides for up to 10 years in prison.
