On the night of August 29, the account of French football player Kylian Mbappe on the social network X was hacked. As a result of the hack, posts with offensive statements appeared on the player's page, including about Lionel Messi and other clubs and countries. Among the posts posted were phrases such as "Ronaldo is the greatest footballer of all time, but this dwarf Messi is not" and "I'm moving to Manchester United." There were also statements directed against several teams of the English Premier League and Israel.
These messages were quickly deleted, but Mbappe himself has not yet given any official comments on what happened. This is not the first time that his account on the social network X has been hacked - a similar incident already took place in 2019.
Mbappe, who previously played alongside Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain, has always been open about his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, which has made him the target of attacks. In July 2024, after winning the Copa America, Argentina players, including Messi, performed a racist chant directed at French players, in which Mbappe was also mentioned.
