The company's developers have already responded to the block and issued instructions.

On March 9, 2024, Apple blocked CryptoPro CSP development applications in its AppStore app store and revoked the product code signing certificate for macOS operating systems. In addition, macOS security updates (Sonoma 14.4, Ventura 13.6.5, Monterey 12.7.4) block the use of CryptoPro CSP and the Chromium GOST browser.

The lock means that owners of Apple computers will not be able to sign documents with an electronic signature using CryptoPro products.

CryptoPro CSP developers quickly responded by releasing new instructions and software distributions for restoring access to certificates.

Currently, guides are available for installing CryptoPro CSP on macOS, as well as for Chromium HOST and Ngate client on macOS. The problem of the availability of the iOS app is in the process of being resolved, according to the CryptoPro website. However, if the iOS app has already been installed before, it should still work properly.

Users are advised not to install the March macOS updates. If the updates are already installed, you must install the Chromium-Gost build for macOS without signing CryptoPro and agree to open the app, and install CryptoPro CSP 5.0.12998, but without the plugin, in Safari by going to Yandex Browser or Chromium GOST.

The blocking of CryptoPro CSP applications is associated with the sanctions imposed by the United States on February 23, 2024 on the company "Crypto-Pro".
